Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and FunTG Limited ("Catology", "we", "us") governing your use of the Catology mobile app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Catology.

1. What Catology is

Catology is an AI-assisted care journal for cats. It analyzes photos you choose to scan and produces mood and behavior insights, and it keeps a journal of those results. Catology provides insights for entertainment and journaling only. It is not veterinary advice, does not diagnose illness, and is not a substitute for professional care. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for health concerns.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region) to use Catology.

3. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

• Free trial. New subscriptions may start with a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription and your Apple ID is charged.
• Price. Premium is billed at the price shown in the app at purchase (for example, $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year). Prices may vary by region and may change with notice; current pricing is always shown before you confirm a purchase.
• Payment. Subscriptions are sold as in-app purchases and billed through your Apple ID. We do not process or store your payment-card details.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel. Manage, restore, or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting your Catology account does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription — cancel it there as well.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Catology — including by uploading content you have no right to, attempting to reverse-engineer or disrupt the service, scraping or overloading it, or using it for any unlawful purpose. Scan photos of animals you own or have permission to photograph.

5. 喵圈 community and user content

Catology includes 喵圈, a community where members post photos and notes about their cats, comment on each other's posts, and follow one another. Anything you post there is visible to other members.

• Age requirement. 喵圈 is limited to members aged 13 and over. Before the community opens we ask Apple for your age range through the Declared Age Range API; if we cannot establish that you are at least 13, the community stays closed. The rest of Catology is unaffected.
• Zero tolerance. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive members. Do not post anything sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, or that endangers an animal. Do not sell or trade animals, impersonate anyone, post spam or scams, or push other members off-platform for contact.
• Reporting. Every post, comment, and member profile carries a report control. We review reports and aim to respond within 24 hours.
• Blocking. You can block any member from their profile. Blocking hides their posts and comments from you and yours from them, and removes any follow between you. You can undo it under Profile → Blocked accounts.
• Moderation. We screen posts and comments automatically and remove content that breaks these rules. Content may be hidden while we review it. Accounts that breach these rules lose access to 喵圈, and we may terminate them under section 9.
• Your responsibility. You are responsible for what you post and must have the right to post it. By posting, you grant us the permission needed to display and distribute it within 喵圈 and to retain it as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and information you add. You grant us the limited permission needed to process a photo you scan (including sending it to our AI provider) and to store your results so the app can function, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. AI-generated output

Mood reads, "thoughts", and tips are generated by an automated system and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or whimsical by design. Do not rely on them for decisions about your cat's health or safety.

8. Service changes and availability

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

9. Termination

You may stop using Catology and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including accounts that breach the 喵圈 community rules in section 5.

10. Disclaimers

Catology is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the insights are accurate or that the service will be error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Catology and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made in reliance on the app's output.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong SAR, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
