These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and [Company] ("Catology", "we", "us") governing your use of the Catology mobile app and website. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Catology.

1. What Catology is

Catology is an AI-assisted care journal for cats. It analyzes photos you choose to scan and produces mood and behavior insights, and it keeps a journal of those results. Catology provides insights for entertainment and journaling only. It is not veterinary advice, does not diagnose illness, and is not a substitute for professional care. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for health concerns.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region) to use Catology.

3. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

• Free trial. New subscriptions may start with a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription and your Apple ID is charged.
• Price. Premium is billed at the price shown in the app at purchase (for example, $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year). Prices may vary by region and may change with notice; current pricing is always shown before you confirm a purchase.
• Payment. Subscriptions are sold as in-app purchases and billed through your Apple ID. We do not process or store your payment-card details.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel. Manage, restore, or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting your Catology account does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription — cancel it there as well.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Catology — including by uploading content you have no right to, attempting to reverse-engineer or disrupt the service, scraping or overloading it, or using it for any unlawful purpose. Scan photos of animals you own or have permission to photograph.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and information you add. You grant us the limited permission needed to process a photo you scan (including sending it to our AI provider) and to store your results so the app can function, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. AI-generated output

Mood reads, "thoughts", and tips are generated by an automated system and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or whimsical by design. Do not rely on them for decisions about your cat's health or safety.

7. Service changes and availability

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. Termination

You may stop using Catology and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

Catology is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the insights are accurate or that the service will be error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Catology and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made in reliance on the app's output.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of [Jurisdiction], unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
